On this page, I will explain each video I made in video production class as much as I can! This includes what day I finished and aired it, the thought process behind it, behind the scenes action, how I feel about it, and how I went about making it in general!

Storybook Project

So, this is the first project that was ever assigned to me! For the project, I had to read a book, but not a long one! This video would then be used for some of the younger classes in my school, like a read-aloud video you see on YouTube or Storyline Online where a person reads a book to you. I had to record video of the pages, and I remember my teacher saying to me that he didn't want me to capture anything else besides pictures of the book, so he suggested me zooming in on the book to achieve that! I also had to record myself saying the lines of the book, but not in one go! It is here I learned how to use the "Dip To Black" effect in Adobe Premiere Pro! When I first made this video, I didn't know really much about editing videos using video editing software or editing in general. I also didn't edit the video well and ended up cutting some sound out and the brightness wasn't very good and my voice wasn't loud enough. But I still did an amazing job in my opinion! This video is very important to me for that reason, and after this video, my editing skills started to improve!

Fall Showcloser
Finish date:
September 29, 2021
YouTube Airdate:

This is the second project I did in video production class. This one is called a "Fall Showcloser".
A Fall Showcloser is often shown at the end of newscasts, while credits are rolling. They are filmed using still camera video, and has they usually have music. I filmed my Fall Showcloser at my school, at two locations, on the hill where the softball field is, and at the back entrence where the school buses come. Each shot had to be around 5 seconds and the entire video had to be around 1:30 in length! This video is also the first one to have keyframes put into them, as I just learned how to use keyframes in my videos!

This is the third project I did in video production class. This one is called the "Walking Project"
For this one, I had to shoot different scenes of during different actions at different locations at my school in a certain order. This was the first project where I was able to move the camera around freely, and not have it stationary.
